What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • A bar of mild soap
  • 3-4 cups of warm water
  • Clean white cloths

Instructions

  1. Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water (about 3-4 cups). Place solution in a large bowl.
  2. Gently rub the mild soap into the stain until it creates a lather.
  3. Soak the stained area of garment for about 15 minutes in the white vinegar and warm water mixture.
  4. Rinse stain thoroughly with cold water.
  5. Let the garment air-dry completely.
  6. Once garment has dried, inspect the area. If the stain remains, repeat steps 2-5.

Additional Tips

  • If you're in a hurry, you can also try spot-cleaning the area with a clean, dry cloth. Gently dab the stained area until the stain is removed.
  • Always read the label of your garment before attempting to clean it. Some fabrics may not be able to withstand certain cleaning solutions or treatments.
