You will need a few basic tools and supplies to clean the blood off your dress - depending on the fabric you are dealing with, you may need different items. Here is a basic list to get you started:
Start by blotting up as much of the blood as possible with a towel. Be careful to use light pressure and dab at the stain, instead of wiping or rubbing.
Mix together a tablespoon of your dish soap with a cup of cold water. Carefully dip the stained area into mixture and allow the liquid to sit on fabric for five minutes. Then, use the old toothbrush to lightly scrub the stain in a circular motion. Once you are done, rinse the area with cold water.
Next, use your towel to press down on stained area and blot up any excess moisture. Keep pressing and blotting until the area is dry.
Once the area is dry, mix together a solution of two parts white vinegar to one part water. Dip the stained area into the solution and let it sit for another five minutes. Again, use the toothbrush to gently scrub the area in a circular motion. Rinse with cold water once more.
Finally, let the dress air dry - be sure to avoid direct sunlight or heat, as this could set the stain.
By following these simple steps, you can easily remove blood stains from your favorite wrap dress. Don't panic - with a little bit of time and effort, you can have your dress looking like new again in no time!
