If you have a stain of dry blood on your white tie, it’s best to begin by washing it with cold water. Start by soaking affected area in cold water for 30 minutes, then use a gentle detergent and a soft brush to rub away the stain. Do not use hot water or a too-harsh detergent as this could damage the fabric fibers and cause the stain to set in. Rinse the tie several times to ensure all of the detergent is completely removed.

Once you’ve finished washing the tie, add a few drops of ammonia to stained area. Rub gently and let it sit for another 30 minutes. Then rinse tie with cold water again before inspecting area. If stain remains, try repeating the process.

If the stain still persists, try soaking the tie in a mixture of one part hydrogen peroxide and two parts water for an hour. When finished, rinse the tie with cold water until the entire solution has been removed. Once tie is washed and dried, check to see if the stain has been removed.

If stain has still not come out, it may be necessary to take your tie to a professional dry cleaner who can effectively remove stubborn stains. If you choose to do this, let them know specifically which areas have bloodstains so they can use the right products and techniques.

By following these steps, you should be able to easily and quickly remove any blood stains from your white tie.
