Step One: Blot Stain

The first thing you'll want to do is carefully blot stained area. If the stain is still wet, use a paper towel or cloth to gently dab away excess liquid. Never rub or scrub the stain, as this may damage the delicate velvet fibers.

Step Two: Spray the Spot

Next, spray the stained area with a mixture of one-part rubbing alcohol and two-parts cold water. Make sure solution saturates spot completely – this will help loosen and lift the stain from the fabric. Allow the spot to sit for 20 minutes before continuing with the next step.

Step Three: Clean with Ammonia and Soap Solution

In a separate container, mix together one tablespoon of clear dish soap, one tablespoon of ammonia, and two cups of warm water. Dip a cloth into the solution and wring it out until it is damp. Gently wipe the stained area in a circular motion. Continue wiping until the stain is gone.

Step Four: Rinse and Dry

Rinse stain with clean, cold water. Use a cloth to gently dab away excess moisture, then leave fabric to air dry completely. Once it's dry, the stain should be gone!
