Tencel fabric is a great choice for clothing when looking for a lightweight, breathable and environmentally-friendly material. But like many fabrics, it’s not immune to stains. One of the most common types of stains you may encounter is a blood stain. Fortunately, removing blood stains from tencel is not too difficult.

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Before starting any cleaning process, you need to blot away any excess liquid from the stain. Use a clean, dry paper towel or cloth to blot the stain, starting from the outside and working your way in. This will help lift away some of the blood without pushing it further into the fabric.

Step 2: Soak

Once you’ve dabbed away as much of the liquid as possible, you’ll want to soak the fabric. Start by filling a bucket or sink with lukewarm water. You can add a small amount of laundry detergent if desired. Then, submerge the stained area of the fabric into the water and let it soak for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Rub the Stain

Once the fabric has soaked for 30 minutes, take it out of the water and place it on an absorbent towel. Gently rub the stained area of the fabric with a soft bristled brush or clean cloth. Keep rubbing until the stain begins to fade away.

Step 4: Launder the Fabric

After the stain has been rubbed away, launder fabric as usual. Make sure to follow the instructions on your tencel for the best results. Once complete, lay the fabric flat to dry.

Follow these steps and you should be able to remove most blood stains from tencel fabric quickly and conveniently.
