Blood stains on clothing can be some of the most difficult types of stains to remove. Fortunately, there is a simple cleaning method you can use to get rid of those pesky blood stains on your shorts and other items of clothing.

To begin, you'll need a few basic supplies that are easy to find at your local grocery store or pharmacy.

  • Cold water
  • Ammonia
  • Dish soap
  • Soft cloth
  • Clean sponge

Now that you've gathered your supplies, let's get started!

  1. Rinse the stain with cold water. Make sure to blot the stain, not scrub it. This will help to avoid further spreading the stain in the fabric.
  2. Mix 1 tablespoon of ammonia with 2 cups of cold water. Soak a clean cloth into this solution and blot the stain.
  3. Mix 1 tablespoon of dish soap with 2 cups of cold water. Dip a clean sponge into the mixture and gently scrub the stained area.
  4. Rinse the area with cold water and then dry it with a dry cloth.

Following this simple cleaning method should help you get rid of those pesky blood stains from your shorts. If the stain persists, you may want to seek professional help to get it removed.
