Take a clean, dry cloth and blot at stain until all the excess liquid has been soaked up. Be sure not to press too hard as this can cause the stain to spread even more.
Fill a bucket or sink with cold water and add some mild detergent. Fully submerge scarf and leave it soaking for 15-30 minutes. This will loosen the stain and help to loosen the particles.
Once your scarf has been soaking for required time, rinse it in cold water. Gently move scarf around in the water to ensure all soap suds are washed away. You may need to do this a few times depending on the severity of the stain.
Once the scarf is rinsed, hang it to dry in a well-ventilated area. Once it is completely dry, iron scarf on a low heat setting. This will help to set the dye and also ensure the stain is completely removed.
Now your scarf is as good as new!
