Blood stains can be tough to get out of fabric, so it’s no surprise that they can also be difficult to remove from pots and pans. Fortunately, there are a few simple steps you can take to get rid of those pesky stains. Here’s what you need to know.

What You Need

  • A sponge or sponge brush
  • Mild detergent or baking soda
  • Vinegar

Instructions

  1. Soak the pot or pan in warm, soapy water for at least 15 minutes. Use a mild detergent or add a few tablespoons of baking soda to the water.
  2. Scrub the stain with a sponge or sponge brush. Be sure to focus on stained area and scrub gently in a circular motion.
  3. If the stain still isn’t coming out, mix 1 part vinegar with 2 parts water and pour it into the pot or pan. Let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes before scrubbing again.
  4. Rinse the pot or pan with warm water and air dry.
