There are a few different methods you can try when it comes to removing blood stains from pongee. For example, you can use a combination of cold water and detergent, white vinegar and water, or even baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. Each of these methods is simple and effective.
The simplest way to remove blood stains from pongee is to use cold water and detergent. This method is great for fresh stains, as the cold temperature helps to prevent the stain from setting. Start by combining some cold water and a small amount of detergent in a bowl. Mix the two together until you have a soapy solution.
Next, apply soapy solution to the blood stain, making sure to rub it in for several minutes. Once you’ve done this, rinse the fabric with cold water. You may need to repeat this process several times before stain is completely gone.
If the stain is more stubborn, you may need to try using white vinegar and water. Start by combining one part white vinegar to two parts water in a bowl. Then, dunk the stained area of pongee into the solution. Let the fabric soak for 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
If the stain is still present after rinsing, repeat the process until it has been completely removed.
For particularly stubborn stains, you may need to try a more powerful solution. Mix one part baking soda with two parts hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Then, apply the mixture to the stained area. Allow the mixture to sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Repeat as necessary until stain is gone.
