Supplies Needed
- Light-colored Peau de Soie fabric
- Cold water
- Mild detergent
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Oxygen bleach
- Clean white cloth
- Vacuum cleaner
Instructions
- Using cold water, blot the affected area to remove as much excess blood as possible. Do not scrub the stain, as this may spread it further.
- Mix equal parts mild detergent and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl. Dip a clean white cloth into the mixture and gently rub the solution into stain.
- Allow the solution to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it with cold water. Use a vacuum cleaner to suck up any residue that may remain.
- If the stain persists, mix equal parts oxygen bleach and cold water in a bowl. Dip a clean white cloth into the mixture and gently rub it into the stain. Allow the solution to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with cold water.
- Once the stain is gone, launder the fabric according to the instructions on label. Do not put it in the dryer until you are sure the stain is fully removed.
