The first step in cleaning a blood stain from panties is to rinse them off with cold water as soon as possible. This helps to prevent oxidation and will make the stain easier to remove.
Add a tablespoon of liquid laundry detergent to a bowl of cold water and mix until detergent is completely dissolved. Submerge panties in the bowl and gently swish them around to loosen the stain. Leave the garment to soak for 30 minutes.
After soaking, fill a sink with cold water and add a squirt of laundry detergent. Place the garment in the soapy water and rub the stained area with your hands to loosen the stain. Remove from sink, rinse with cold water and repeat if the stain persists.
If the stain is still visible after scrubbing, it's time to throw the panties in the washing machine. Set the machine to a delicate cycle and use a gentle detergent such as Woolite. Make sure not to use bleach as it can set the stain.
Once washed, hang the garment to air dry away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry panties with blood stains as heat can set the stain.
