1. Blot Stain Immediately

As soon as you notice signs of blood on your pajamas, it is important to act quickly. Blot the stain with a clean paper towel or cloth before the blood has time to dry. Absorb as much of the wet stain as you can without pressing fabric down and spreading the stain.

2. Use Salt and Water

Next, make a paste by combining equal parts cold water and table salt. To avoid making too much paste, mix a teaspoon of salt with a tablespoon of cold water. Apply the paste directly onto the stain, and let it sit for an hour. Once the paste has dried, rinse it off and examine if the stain has lightened.

3. Try White Vinegar

If the blood stain persists, try treating it with vinegar. Soak the pajamas in cold water mixed with a ¼ cup of white vinegar for 30 minutes. Gently rub the stain with your fingers and then rinse the mixture off. If stain still remains, repeat the process until it disappears.

4. Use Ammonia

Another effective product for removing blood stains from fabric is ammonia. Mix a teaspoon of ammonia with two cups of cold water. Soak the pajamas in the solution for one hour, and then rinse with cold water. Check the area to see if stain has faded.

5. Wash in Cold Water

After rinsing off all the treatments, wash the pajamas with a gentle detergent. For best results, use cold water as heat can set the stain permanently. When finished, let the pajamas air dry, and check to make sure the stain is gone.
