Steps to Remove Blood Stains from Merino Wool:

  1. Mix together 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of table salt in a small bowl.
  2. Add in a few tablespoons of lukewarm water. Stir until it turns into a paste-like consistency.
  3. Dab a clean cloth into the paste and gently rub it onto stain.
  4. Let the paste sit for about 5 minutes before using a toothbrush to scrub the area.
  5. Rinse the area with lukewarm water.
  6. Repeat steps 3-5 if necessary until the bloodstain is completely removed.
  7. Let the area dry naturally and avoid using a hairdryer or direct sunlight.

Additional Tips

  • For stubborn bloodstains, use a stronger solution of one part hydrogen peroxide and two parts water to treat the stain before scrubbing.
  • Avoid putting your merino wool in the washing machine as harsh detergents can damage the fabric.
