Step One: Create a Mixture of Mild Soap and Water

First, create a mixture of warm water and mild soap. You can use dish soap, body wash, or shampoo- just make sure it's not too harsh. To create the mixture, fill a small bowl or bucket with 2 parts water and 1 part mild soap.

Step Two: Scrub the Stain with a Soft Toothbrush or Rag

Once you have the mixture ready, dip in a soft toothbrush or a clean rag and gently scrub the area affected by the stain. Being careful not to press too hard, scrub gently until the stain begins to come off. Don't forget to rinse the toothbrush or rag in between scrubbing.

Step Three: Use Hydrogen Peroxide to Remove Remaining Stains

If any of stain remains after scrubbing, dab it with a cotton ball soaked in hydrogen peroxide. Allow it to sit for about five minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water. Do not use hot water, as it will set the stain deeper into the fabric.

Step Four: Dry and Finish with a Leather Conditioner

Once you've treated areas with hydrogen peroxide, allow the loafers to air-dry. Once they're completely dry, finish up by using a leather conditioner on them. This will help protect the leather from cracking, fading, and other forms of damage.

And that's it! With these four simple steps, you'll be able to get your loafers looking and smelling like new in no time.
