The first step is to rinse the stained area with cold water. Make sure to rinse the backside of the stain so that it doesn't set in. Make sure to use cold water because heat may cause the stain to set in more. Don't rub, scrub or brush stain as this may cause further damage to the fabric.
Once you have rinsed the area, you can proceed to make a detergent solution with warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and dab stain gently until it begins to disappear. You may need to repeat this process several times depending on how stubborn the stain is. Rinse the area again with cold water to get rid of any soap residue.
If the stain persists after using warm water and detergent, you can try using vinegar. Mix together equal parts of white vinegar and cold water in a bowl and dip a cloth in the solution. Blot stain gently and continue until the stain is no longer visible. Once stain has vanished, rinse the area with cold water again to get rid of vinegar residue.
If vinegar does not work, you can try hydrogen peroxide. Remember to use a 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide and mix together equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and cold water. Dab the stained area with a clean cloth and continue until the stain is removed. Rinse area once again with cold water to get rid of any remaining hydrogen peroxide and residue.
