Removing blood stains from a jacket is not as daunting as it first seems. Before you start, you should consider what type of fabric your jacket is made of. Some fabrics take gentle measures and others require special items.

Steps to Follow:

  1. Mix one tablespoon of liquid dish washing or laundry detergent with two cups of cool water.
  2. Dip a piece of clean, white cloth into the soapy solution.
  3. Gently dab the stained area with the damp cloth.
  4. Rinse with cold or warm water.
  5. Check for any remaining stain and repeat the process if necessary.
  6. If the stain is still visible, apply a spot-cleaning product that is specifically designed for the fabric of the jacket.
  7. Dab stain with a damp cloth until the product is completely removed.
  8. Rinse the area with cool water.
  9. Allow the jacket to air-dry.

Tips to Remember:

  • It's important to treat the blood stain as soon as possible.
  • Always test any cleaning product on an inconspicuous area first to make sure it won’t damage the fabric.
  • Never rub the fabric when trying to remove a stain. This will only spread stain and damage the fibers.
  • Blot the stain with a clean cloth and never scrub it.
