What You’ll Need
- Cold water
- Dish soap
- Sponge or cloth
- Baking soda (optional)
- Hydrogen peroxide/vinegar (optional)
Steps
- Mix some cold water with a few drops of mild dish soap. Do not use hot water, as it can cause stain to set.
- Soak a sponge or cloth in the soapy water and directly dab the stained area.
- Continue dabbing the stained area until the blood is removed.
- If the stain persists, sprinkle a light layer of baking soda over the affected area, then add cold water to create a paste. Let the paste sit for a few minutes before rinsing off.
- If the stain still won't come out, try using a mixture of hydrogen peroxide/vinegar and cold water. Soak a sponge or cloth in this solution and gently scrub the area until the stain comes out.
- Finally, rinse the hat with cold water and let it air dry.
