Removing Blood Stains from Hair Ties

Blood stains can be tough to remove from any material, but good news is that it is possible to remove them from hair ties quite easily. It’s important to act quickly so that the stain does not set, as this will make it much harder to remove. To get started, you will need some hydrogen peroxide and cotton swabs.

Step 1: Soak the Hair Tie

Start by soaking the hair tie in warm water for fifteen minutes. This will help to loosen any dried blood on the fabric, and make it easier to remove.

Step 2: Apply Hydrogen Peroxide

Once the hair tie has been soaked in water, apply a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to the stained area. Wait a few minutes for the solution to work into fabric, then use a cotton swab to gently rub the stain. Repeat this process if needed until the stain is gone.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry

Once stain has been removed, rinse hair tie with cool water to remove any residue. Then, lay the hair tie flat on a towel and allow it to air dry.

Congratulations, You Did It!

You just learned how to clean blood stains from your hair tie! Don't forget to follow these steps the next time you have an accident, so that you can keep your hair ties looking brand new.
