What You'll Need

  • Cold water
  • Dishwashing liquid
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Ammonia
  • White vinegar
  • Absorbent paper towels

Removing Stain

  1. Treating the garment as soon as possible is key, as the longer a stain sets in, the more difficult it becomes to remove. Start by soaking the area with cold water, then blotting with an absorbent paper towel.
  2. Apply a few drops of dishwashing liquid directly to the stain. Work it into area and through the fabric gently.
  3. Rinse the fabric with cold water, then blott with the paper towels again to remove any soap residue.
  4. If stain persists, use a mixture of three parts hydrogen peroxide and one part ammonia. Apply it to the affected area and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse and blott with the paper towel.
  5. For stubborn stains, mix equal parts white vinegar and water and apply to area. Let sit for 10 minutes, rinse and blott again.

Sample Cleaning Procedure

If a stain still remains on your Gucci item, start by pre-treating area with dishwashing liquid. Using a clean cloth or soft bristled brush, gently rub solution into the fabric, then blot with a paper towel. Rinse the area with cold water, blotting with the paper towel again once you're done.

If the stain is still visible, create a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. Apply it to affected area and let sit for 15 minutes before rinsing with cold water and blotting it with a paper towel. If this hasn't worked, create a mixture of white vinegar and water and apply it to the area. Let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse and blott again.
