Step 1: Rinse with Cold Water

As soon as the accident happens, it’s best to take your crop top, rinse it off in some cold water, and then hang it up to dry. The goal here isn't to try and get all the blood out, just enough for it to stop spreading.

Step 2: Soak in Saltwater

The next step is to soak your crop top in saltwater. This will help to break down blood molecules and make it easier to remove. Use a teaspoon of salt for every cup of water. Let it soak for about 30 minutes, and then rinse it off.

Step 3: Apply an Enzyme-Based Cleaner

Once you have rinsed crop top, it is time to apply an enzyme-based cleaner to the stained area. These cleaners are specifically designed to break down the proteins in blood, making them much easier to remove. Follow the instructions on the package and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

Step 4: Put it in the Washing Machine

After the cleaner has had time to do its job, the next step is to put your crop top in the washing machine. Use the lowest temperature setting possible. When the cycle is finished, check the stain to make sure it is gone. If it is still there, repeat steps 2-4 until the stain is removed.

Step 5: Launder Like Normal

Now that the stain is gone, it is time to launder your crop top like you normally would. Use your favorite detergent and fabric softener, and let the cycle run through its full cycle. When it is done, check to make sure the stain has been fully removed. If so, hang it up to dry and wear it proudly!
