The first step is to quickly blot the stain with a dry cloth or paper towel. Do not rub the stain, as this will spread it further and may weaken fabric of the corduroy. Blotting will help to absorb some of the blood from the fabric.
After the initial blotting, soak the stained area in cold water for 30 minutes. This will help to loosen the stain and make it easier to remove. Do not use hot water, as this can set the stain even further.
After soaking the fabric, apply rubbing alcohol directly to the stain. Using a damp cloth, gently rub rubbing alcohol into the stain. This will help to loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.
Once the rubbing alcohol has been applied, rinse the garment in cold water. If the stain is still present, repeat process until the stain is gone.
Finally, wash garment in the washing machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. This will help to remove any remaining residue and ensure the garment is thoroughly cleaned.
Cleaning a blood stain from corduroy can be tricky, but following these steps can help to remove the stain and have your corduroys looking like new. Just remember to blot the stain, soak it in cold water, apply rubbing alcohol, rinse, and then wash the garment!
