Blood on a piece of clothing is one of the most stubborn stains to remove – but chiffon is a particularly tricky fabric to tackle. If not properly cleaned, the blood can set into the material, leaving a permanent discoloration. Luckily, you don't have to give up on your chiffon clothing just yet! Follow these easy steps to restore your chiffon fabric to its natural beauty.

Materials Needed

  • Cold water
  • Unscented dish soap
  • Cotton swab
  • White vinegar (optional)

Directions

  1. Act quickly! The sooner you treat the stain, the more likely it is to come out completely.
  2. Wet the stained area using cold water. Do not use hot water or rubbing alcohol, as that could cause the stain to set in further.
  3. Apply a small amount of unscented liquid dish soap to the stained area and lather up with your hands.
  4. Use a cotton swab dipped in cold water to gently scrub the stained area. Do not rub too hard – be gentle, as chiffon fabric can be delicate.
  5. Rinse the area with cold water and let dry.
  6. If the stain is still visible, try soaking area in a solution of white vinegar and cold water for 1 hour. Then, rewash with dish soap and cold water.

That's it! With a little bit of effort, you can get rid of those pesky blood stains in no time. Your chiffon fabric will be looking good as new!
