The first step in removing the blood stain from the canvas is to blot up as much of the stain as possible. Use a soft cloth or paper towel to blot at the stain, and don't rub the area; this will spread the stain and make it more difficult to remove. Continue blotting until you have removed as much of the stain as you can.
Next, make a paste with a small amount of cold water and a tablespoon of white vinegar. Apply the paste to stain and let it sit for 10 minutes. This will help to break down the stain and loosen any particles that are stuck to the canvas.
Once the paste has sat for 10 minutes, take a soft brush and gently brush away the paste and the stain. Be sure to move the brush in a circular motion so you can remove all of the stain. Once you are finished brushing, use a clean cloth to blot away any residue.
Finally, rinse area with lukewarm water. Blot dry with a clean cloth and you should be left with a stain-free canvas. If the stain is still visible, repeat the steps above until the stain has been completely removed.
