What You'll Need
- Cold water
- Borax (can be used as an alternative to detergent)
- Laundry detergent
- Hydrogen peroxide (optional)
- Clean white cloths
- Machine-washable soap
Step-By-Step Instructions
- If blood stain is fresh, rinse the area with cold water as soon as possible.
- Apply a paste made from borax and a few drops of cold water directly onto the stain.
- Using a clean white cloth, gently dab the stain until it has lifted. If necessary, repeat the process to get rid of any residual staining.
- Rinse affected area with cold water again and then apply laundry detergent to the stain.
- Using a clean cloth, dab the detergent into the stained area until stain lifts and you can no longer see it.
- If any staining remains, mix together equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and machine-washable soap in a bowl, then use a clean cloth to pat the mixture onto the stained area. Allow it to sit for approximately 5 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
- Allow your clothing to dry completely and you’re all done!
