If blood stain is fresh, using cold water and a few drops of mild detergent should do the trick. Apply it to the area with a damp cloth and rub gently until the stain lifts up. Rinse with cool water afterwards and allow the garment to air-dry.
For older blood stains, a stronger solution is needed. First, rinse the fabric with cold water to get rid of any excess blood. Then mix equal parts white vinegar and cold water. Dip a clean cloth into the mixture and apply it to the stain. Be sure not to scrub too hard or the fabric may be damaged. Let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with cold water. Repeat as necessary.
Another great way to tackle tough blood stains is to rub baking soda onto the fabric. This method works best when used in conjunction with either of above treatments. Simply cover the stained area with baking soda and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with cold water and repeat if necessary.
An even stronger solution is to use hydrogen peroxide. Start by pouring a small amount onto the stained area. Wait for 2-3 minutes, then rub the fabric together gently to help loosen the stain. Rinse with cold water, and repeat as necessary.
The best way to keep your bras looking great is to take care of them and avoid stains in the first place. Always read the care label and follow the instructions for washing and drying. Also, try to avoid wearing light coloured bras when participating in activities that could cause staining, such as exercising or cooking.
