The first step to removing a bloodstain is to soak up as much of the liquid as possible. Place a few paper towels over the stain and press firmly with your hands to absorb the blood.
Once you’ve soaked up the excess liquid, use hydrogen peroxide to treat the stain. It’s important to use a 3% solution, as this concentration is most effective at removing blood stains. Pour a small amount of peroxide directly onto stain and let sit for 10-15 minutes. The peroxide should begin to bubble, which indicates it’s working to remove the stain.
Once the peroxide has had time to work, rinse the stain with cold water. Be sure to rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of the peroxide.
After rinsing, place the dress in the washing machine with a mild detergent. Select a cold cycle setting since hot water can set in blood stains. Hang dry when finished.
Removing blood stains from a bodycon dress isn’t as difficult as it seems. With the right tools and a bit of patience, you can quickly get rid of those pesky stains for good.
