If the blood stain is fresh and still wet, the best method is to use cold water. Make sure your faucet is on its coldest setting, and begin to blot the stain using a white cloth. Do not rub, as this will make the stain spread and become larger. Continue to dab the stain until it has completely disappeared.
If the blood stain has dried, a different approach must be taken. Begin by mixing together two tablespoons of dishwashing detergent with two cups of warm water in a bowl. Once combined, dip a white cloth into solution and begin to carefully rub the stained area. As always, be gentle to avoid spreading the stain even further. Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water and pat dry.
If the above methods do not work, there are other approaches that can be taken. To give your blazer an extra cleaning boost, you can try layering baking soda or cornstarch over the stain and leaving it overnight. In the morning, brush away the powder, and the stain should have vanished. Alternatively, a white vinegar and water solution can also be effective. Finally, hydrogen peroxide and ammonia can be used as a last resort.
