To avoid permanent damage to your ASICS shoes and completely remove such unwanted stains, here are some helpful tips:
The sooner you start cleaning the stain, the easier it will be to remove it. Make sure to act quickly and use absorbent paper towels to blot area or else the stain might spread further.
Rinse the stained area with cold water. This will help remove any dirt or debris that may be embedded in the stain.
Choose a detergent designed for delicate fabrics and pretreat stained area. Use an old toothbrush or soft brush to gently massage the detergent into the stain before it sets into the fabric. Let the detergent sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cold water.
Once you have pretreated the stain, put the shoes in the washing machine with other delicates. Choose gentle washing settings and use cold water only. Once the cycle is complete, lay the shoes flat or hang them to air dry.
If the stain persists after washing shoes, try using an oxygen-based bleach like OxiClean or another oxygen bleach solution. Make sure to follow the instructions on the product and let solution sit for some time before rinsing away with cold water.
If the stain still remains, repeat the steps above until it is removed. If all else fails, take the shoes to a professional cleaner for help.
Blood stains can be tricky to remove from ASICS shoes, but it's not impossible. Follow these simple steps to get rid of the stains without damaging the fabric.
