The key to getting rid of any stain is to tackle it as soon as possible. Since blood is protein based, best method for removing it is with cold water and detergent. First, begin by gently soaking the stained area in cold water until the stain has softened. Next, apply a mixture of detergent and cold water directly to the stain and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before beginning to work at it with a soft cloth or sponge.

For tougher stains, try using a mixture of 1 part hydrogen peroxide, 5 parts cold water, and a quarter teaspoon of liquid soap. Gently dab this mixture onto the stain and let it soak for 20 minutes before scrubbing at it with a cloth. If the stain is particularly stubborn, you can increase the amount of hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts with 7 parts cold water.

Finally, for deep-seated blood stains, a pre-treatment spray may be necessary. Be sure to patch test any spray you use on a small, hidden area of the fabric first. After spraying the stain, leave it for 2-3 minutes and then gently work the spray into fabric with a soft cloth or sponge. Finally, thoroughly rinse the treated area with cold water.

With these simple steps, you can easily remove any blood stains from your Armani!
