Blood stains can be difficult to remove from any fabric, but there are some simple steps you can take to get rid of them. Read on to learn how to clean blood off your Ann Taylor dress or suit so you can look your best before your big meeting.
The first step in cleaning any stain is to act quickly. The longer the blood sits on fabric, harder it becomes to remove. As soon as you spot the stain, begin treating it.
Immediately after noticing the blood spot, fill a sink or bucket with cold water and submerge garment. Allow it to soak for several minutes before moving on to the next step.
Then, add a few drops of a mild detergent, such as Woolite, to the cold water and let the garment sit for an additional 10-15 minutes. This will help to further loosen the stain and the detergent will help to lift it away.
Once the garment has had a chance to soak in the detergent, rinse it thoroughly with cold water, being careful not to rub the stain. Finally, lay the garment flat to air dry.
If the stain persists after first washing, you may have to repeat the process until it is completely gone. If all else fails, try using a spot cleaner, such as Shout, to remove the stain.
Blood stains can be stubborn and hard to remove, but with a little patience and elbow grease, you can get rid of them from your Ann Taylor garments. With the easy steps outlined above, you can be sure to look your best for that important meeting.
