The first step is to remove any excess surface blood from the material of your dress. Gently dab away at fabric with a paper towel or a cloth. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the material, as this can spread the stain even further into the material.
Pour a few teaspoons of salt onto affected area and then dampen the salt with cold water. Allow the mixture to rest on the stain for around an hour before washing. This allows the salt to draw out the blood without causing any damage to dress.
To complete the process, machine wash the dress in cold water using a gentle detergent. Avoid washing the dress in hot water, as this can cause the blood to set deeper into the fabric, making it more difficult to remove.
