Steps for Removing Blood Stains from Aeropostale

  1. As soon as you find stain, head straight to the washing machine. Set the temperature to cold and add a scoop of enzyme-based detergent.
  2. Wait for the wash cycle to finish and check stain. If it’s still visible, rinse the item in cold water and repeat wash cycle.
  3. If the stain still hasn’t disappeared, use a stain remover such as Shout or Oxyclean specifically designed for removing blood stains. Follow the directions on the container.
  4. After treating the stain with a remover, launder the garment once again to ensure that stain is gone and the garment is thoroughly cleaned.
  5. To prevent the stain from setting in and becoming more difficult to remove, do not dry the item until the stain has been completely removed. Hang up the garment or lay it flat to air-dry.

Additional Tips for Blood Stain Removal

  • Always be sure to treat stain as soon as you can to give the remover the best chance of working.
  • If using a remover, make sure to test it on a small spot to make sure that it won’t cause any discoloration.
  • If all else fails and stain won’t come out, try soaking the clothing in a mixture of 1 quart of cold water and 1 teaspoon of ammonia.
