What You'll Need

  • Lemon juice or white vinegar
  • Dish detergent
  • Nontoxic stain remover
  • Clean cloths

Step 1: Absorb Excess Berry Juice

As soon as the stain occurs, use a clean cloth to blot the berry juice from the tuxedo fabric. Be careful not to press or rub the berry juice into the tuxedo fabric.

Step 2: Apply Lemon Juice or White Vinegar

Once excess berry juice has been absorbed, pour a liberal amount of lemon juice or white vinegar onto remaining stain. Leave it for several minutes before rinsing with cold water.

Step 3: Apply Dish Detergent

If there is still a stain after rinsing, apply a few drops of dish detergent onto the stain. Rub the fabric gently together and then rinse with cold water.

Step 4: Apply Nontoxic Stain Remover

If the stain is still there after the dish detergent treatment, apply a small amount of nontoxic stain remover to the stain. Rub the fabric together gently and then rinse the area with cold water.

Step 5: Repeat Steps 2-4 if Necessary

If the stain is still visible after the first round of cleaning, repeat steps 2-4 until you are satisfied with results. Be sure to rinse the area with cold water after each treatment.
