What You'll Need

  • Cold Water
  • Liquid Detergent
  • Old Toothbrush (optional)

Step 1: Blot the Stain

The first step you should take is to blot the stain with a clean cloth or paper towel. This will help absorb the juices and make it easier to lift the stain from fabric.

Step 2: Soak in Cold Water

Once you've blotted the stain, soak the affected area in cold water for 15 minutes or so. This will help loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 3: Apply Detergent

After soaking the stain, apply a liquid detergent directly to the area and rub it in to create a lather. If you'd like, you can use an old toothbrush to work the detergent into the fibers. Then rinse the t-shirt with cold water.

Step 4: Repeat as Necessary

If the stain isn't completely gone, repeat the steps above until the stain has been removed. You may need to use a stronger cleaning solution such as vinegar or bleach, but make sure to test it on a small area first to make sure it won't damage the fabric.

Wrapping Up

Now that you know how to remove berry stains from a t-shirt, you can confidently tackle any tough stains that come your way. With a little bit of scrubbing and some patience, you'll be able to keep your t-shirts looking great.
