First, start by blotting the stain with a damp cloth. This helps to lift some of the excess berry juice off the fabric and should remove any chunks of food or debris. Be sure to use a white cloth so that no color is transferred onto the garment.
Once the stain has been blotted, it is important to pre-treat affected area. Mix a solution of oxygen bleach and lukewarm water and gently dab onto the stain. Allow the solution to sit for 10-15 minutes before washing as usual.
Finally, throw your thong into the wash with detergent as you normally would. For best results, use a detergent formulated for delicate fabrics. Be sure to avoid any bleaching agents, as these could further damage the garment.
Removing berry stains from a thong doesn't have to be a daunting task. Follow the steps outlined above and you can easily restore your garment back to a like-new condition!
