Before you tackle berry stains, you should make sure you have all necessary supplies available, including:
Start by mixing together equal parts baking soda and white vinegar in the small bowl. Be sure to wear gloves and keep children away from the mixture. Once combined, apply the baking soda and vinegar directly onto the stained area of the fabric.
Let the mixture sit on the stain for about 10-15 minutes, then gently scrub it with a nylon scrub brush. This should help to break down the stain. If needed, you can also add a few drops of dish soap to the mixture to help cut through grease.
Once you’re finished scrubbing, rinse off the fabric with lukewarm water using soft rag. Finally, dry the tent or gear with a towel and be sure to keep it clean in the future.
If you don’t have any baking soda or white vinegar on hand, you can also try removing the berry stains with just dish soap and water. Using the soft rag, mix up a solution of warm water and dish soap, then apply it directly to the stain.
Once the solution is applied, give it a few minutes to set into the fabric before gently scrubbing the area with scrub brush. Again, be sure to rinse off the fabric with lukewarm water after scrubbing and then dry it with a towel.
Removing berry stains from your tent and camping gear doesn’t have to be a difficult task. Both baking soda and vinegar method, as well as the dish soap and water method, are simple and effective techniques for getting rid of those pesky stains. Just remember to keep the fabric clean in the future and you won’t have to worry about dealing with berry stains again!
