Berries and sneakers have a long history of being paired together, but unfortunately, berry stains can leave behind a lasting mark. Even if you’re taking all the necessary precautions when you eat and wear your sneakers, accidents are bound to happen. Whether you’re out for a hike, or just snacking on some fresh fruit, berry stains can appear seemingly overnight.

3 Steps to Remove Berry Stains from Sneakers

  1. Start by blotting most of liquid away with a paper towel. Once the excess liquid is removed, use cold water to rinse affected area.
  2. Mix 1 teaspoon of laundry detergent with a cup of warm water, and use a microfiber cloth to gently scrub the stain. Rinse with cold water again.
  3. Take half a lemon and sprinkle baking soda over it. Scrub the stain with lemon half and baking soda until it is no longer visible, then rinse with cold water once more.

Remember, depending on the fabric of your sneakers, there may be other methods that work better for preventing and removing berry stains from your kicks. Always check care instructions before attempting to clean them.
