Tussah silk is a lightweight fabric with a soft textured surface that’s perfect for warm weather and elegant events. Unfortunately, it can be tricky to remove berry stains from this fabric. Here are some tips to help you out:

  • First, soak the stained area of the fabric in cold water. This will help lift the berry stain from the fabric.
  • Mix two tablespoons of baking soda with one tablespoon of liquid detergent in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of white vinegar, and then add enough cold water to make a thick paste.
  • Apply the paste to the stained area and rub it gently with a toothbrush. Let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off with cold water.
  • If there is still some residue of the berry stain left after first attempt, simply repeat the cleaning process.
  • After you’re done cleaning, dab fabric dry with a clean cloth and hang the item to air-dry completely.

These tips should help you remove berry stains from your tussah silk. Remember to always test any cleaning solution on a hidden area of fabric before applying directly to the stained area.
