Accidentally spilling a berry smoothie on your favorite seersucker shirt can make you want to scream! But don’t worry, all hope is not lost. As long as you act quickly, getting out berry stains from seersucker is completely doable.

Step One: Blot the Stain with Cold Water

As soon as the stain occurs, grab a cloth and start blotting the stained area with cold water. Do this gently, as too much pressure can push the stain deeper into the fabric. Keep blotting until you have absorbed as much of the liquid as possible.

Step Two: Sprinkle Talcum Powder on the Stain

Next, use a spoon to sprinkle talcum powder on the stained area. Let it sit for 30 minutes, so that powder absorbs as much of stain as possible.

Step Three: Wipe off the Talcum Powder

Once the talcum powder has been left to sit for 30 minutes, grab a damp cloth and wipe powder off of the fabric. If any of the stain has been lifted off due to the powder, repeat Steps One and Two until the stain is gone.

Step Four: Rinse the Seersucker with Cold Water

Finally, rinse the seersucker with cold water. This will help ensure that all of the talcum powder residue and any traces of the berry stain have been removed. Put the seersucker garment in the washing machine, and then hang to dry.

With these simple steps, you should be able to get those pesky berry stains out of seersucker with ease!
