When berry juice or other berry staining products are spilled onto clothing or fabric, it's important to act quickly. The sooner you can treat the stain, the better your chances of getting it out. Before attempting to clean the stain, first remove any excess juice from the fabric by blotting it with a dry cloth.

Step 1: Soak the Stained Area

Mix a solution of cold water and laundry detergent and soak the stained area in it for 30 minutes. This will loosen the stain and make it easier to remove.

Step 2: Pretreat the Stain

After soaking, apply a generous amount of laundry detergent directly to the stained area and let it sit for 10 minutes before laundering. This will help to further break down the stain.

Step 3: Launder as Usual

Launder the item as usual, using the hottest water appropriate for fabric type. If the stain persists after laundering, repeat the above steps until the stain is gone.

Tips to Remember

  • Avoid using hot water as it can set the stain.
  • Always pretreat a stain before laundering.
  • Test detergent on an inconspicuous area before using on the entire garment.
