The first thing you want to do when dealing with a berry stain on your polyester is to get any remaining solid pieces off of the fabric. This helps reduce the chance of stain setting in and becoming more difficult to remove. Take a spoon and lightly scrape off any remaining solids. Be careful not to push berry particles too deep into the fabric.
Once the solids are removed, it's time to pre-treat stain. You can create your own pre-treating solution by combining equal parts white vinegar, dish soap, and cold water. Use a cloth or sponge to apply the solution onto the stained area and then let it sit for about 15 minutes. The acidity of the vinegar will help lift the stain from the fabric.
After pre-treating the stain, it's time to put garment into the washing machine. Make sure to choose the cycle that is best suited for fabric as well as choose a cold water temperature. It's also important to use a color-safe detergent as this will help preserve the color of your garment. Add 1/2 cup of oxygen bleach to the washing machine in addition to detergent. This will help further lift the stain.
Once the washing machine cycle is complete, you should air-dry the garment rather than use the dryer. If the stain is still visible, repeat Steps 2 and 3 until you are satisfied with the results.
