Removing Fresh Berry Stains from Oxford Shoes

If the berry stain is still wet, act fast – time is of the essence. Begin by wiping away any excess berry juice from shoe with a damp cloth. Avoid rubbing the stain, as this could spread it further. Next, pour a small dab of detergent onto the affected area and use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the area in a circular motion. Do not press too hard or rub too harshly, as this could damage the material of your shoes.

When the stain has been completely removed, rinse the shoes off with cold water, then pat the area dry with a paper towel. If there is still a hint of stain, apply a small amount of white vinegar to the area and leave it on for 10 minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth.

Deodorizing Your Oxfords After Removing a Berry Stain

If the stain was particularly stubborn, the area may have absorbed some of the berry's odor. Deodorize your shoes by sprinkling them with baking soda, which will help absorb any unpleasant smells. Leave baking soda on for at least an hour, then vacuum it up. Finish by applying a leather conditioner for amazing results.
