If you own a pair of mules that have gotten stained by berries, don’t despair! With just a few basic supplies and a little elbow grease, you can have them looking good as new in no time.
The first step to remove berry stains is to blot away any excess liquid or residue that may be on the mule surface. To do this, simply press an absorbent cloth or paper towel gently against the stain. You want to avoid rubbing the cloth on the surface to prevent further damage. Once the surface is dry, proceed to the next step.
Mix together a solution of baking soda and water and apply it to the stain. Gently use a non-abrasive scrub brush to work the solution into the stain. Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes before proceeding to the next step.
Once baking soda solution has had time to set, rinse the area with clean water. You may need to repeat this several times to ensure that all of the baking soda residue has been removed.
For tough stains, you may need to apply a solution of white vinegar and water to the stain. Apply the solution and let it soak for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off with clean water.
If stain remains after following the above steps, simply repeat the process until the stain is removed. You may find that it takes several attempts, so be patient and don't give up.
Berry stains on mules can be a real headache to remove, but with a few simple steps you can have your mules looking like new again. Just remember to be gentle and take your time, and you'll be amazed at how quick and easy it is to remove berry stains from your mules.
