The first step in removing berry stains from mohair is to act fast and blot stain with a dry towel or a tissue paper. This will help remove any excess juices and prevent the stain from penetrating further into the fabric. Make sure not to rub stain as this may spread it even more.

After blotting the stain, fill a bucket with lukewarm water and a small amount of gentle laundry detergent. Fill a second bucket with clean, lukewarm water and submerge the stained area of the mohair fabric in the detergent mixture. Let the fabric soak for one hour before rinsing with the plain water bucket.

If the stain is still present after this process, you may need to do some spot cleaning. Using a soft toothbrush and detergent, scrub around the area of the stain gently to remove any residue. Rinse with clean water afterwards.

To finish off, lay the mohair fabric flat on an old towel and allow it to air dry. Once fully dry, you should have a stain-free mohair fabric!
