Methods to Remove Berry Stains From Mesh

Baking Soda and Water

The simplest and most cost-effective way to remove berry stains from mesh is to mix baking soda and water together to form a paste. Apply the paste to the stained area, let it sit for about 30 minutes, and then scrub it off with a damp cloth or sponge. Rinse the area with clean water and the stain should be gone.

Mild Detergent

If baking soda doesn’t work, you can try using mild detergent instead. Mix a tablespoon of laundry detergent with two cups of cold water. Apply the solution to the stained area and scrub until the stain is completely gone. Rinse with cold water and the stain should be gone.

Vinegar

A third option is to mix one part white vinegar with three parts cold water and apply it to the stained area. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then scrub the area with a sponge or cloth. Use cold water to rinse off the solution and the stain should be gone.

Tips for Preventing and Removing Berry Stains From Mesh

  • Always handle mesh fabrics gently in order to prevent staining.
  • Wash mesh fabrics separately from other items to avoid color transfer.
  • Use a mild detergent when washing mesh fabrics.
  • Be sure to check all pockets and seams for berry stains before washing.
  • If necessary, pre-soak stained areas with white vinegar or baking soda solution before washing.
