The first step in removing berry stains from your mattress is to use water. Place a clean cloth or paper towel underneath the affected area and gently blot the stain with a wet cloth.
Be sure to avoid scrubbing the mattress, as this can damage fabric. After blotting the stain, allow the cloth or paper towel to dry before proceeding to the next step.
For tougher stains, try using a cleaning solution such as liquid dish soap or a laundry detergent formula. Mix a small amount of the cleaning solution with some warm water and dab it onto stain. Gently work the solution into the stain and then rinse the area with clean water.
Once the cleaning solution has been rinsed away, dry the area with a clean cloth or paper towel. If the stain persists, repeat the process until stain is removed.
If the above methods have not been effective, you may need to use a spot remover specially formulated for removing berry stains. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for using the spot remover and be sure to work in a well-ventilated area.
Once the spot remover has been applied, rinse off the area with clean water and use a clean cloth or paper towel to dry the area.
