If you got berry stains on your favorite Kate Spade item, there are a few things you can do as soon as possible:

  • Rinse the fabric with cold water to keep stain from setting in.
  • Make a paste with one part baking soda and one part cold water, and rub it onto stain.
  • Leave the paste for about an hour to let it dry.
  • Brush off the dried paste.
  • Wash the item by hand in lukewarm water with mild detergent.
  • After washing, rinse it thoroughly to make sure all the paste is gone.
  • Allow the item to air-dry.

Another option is to treat the stain with club soda. All you'll need is a clean cloth and some club soda. To begin, wet the cloth with club soda and blot the stained area with it. You'll want to make sure the cloth stays damp and you should see the stain lifting up with each blot. Once stain is gone, rinse the area with cold water and let it air-dry.

If the stain is still not coming out after trying above methods, you may need to use a special berry stain remover, like Shout Advanced Gel. Just make sure to read the instructions on the bottle before using it. It may be helpful to spot test an inconspicuous part of garment first, just to make sure the fabric can handle it.
