Step One: Gather Your Supplies

For this task, you’ll need a few common household items. You’ll need white vinegar, warm water, a soft cloth, laundry detergent, and a small bowl.

Step Two: Prep the Stained Area

Dip the cloth in warm water and wring out any excess. Then, lightly blot the stained area with the damp cloth, being careful not to scrub too hard.

Step Three: Make Your Cleaning Solution

Mix one tablespoon of vinegar with two tablespoons of laundry detergent in the small bowl. Stir the solution until it is well blended.

Step Four: Apply the Cleaning Solution

Using the cloth, gently rub the cleaning solution onto the berry stain. Allow the solution to sit for up to five minutes to let it work on the stain.

Step Five: Rinse and Dry

Rinse the cleaning solution from hair tie with warm water and then allow to air dry. Repeat these steps if necessary until the stain is completely gone.

Conclusion

With a few simple steps, your hair ties will be looking like new again! Just remember to be gentle and not scrub too hard when prepping the stained area and applying your cleaning solution.
