First, you'll want to soak the stained fabric in cold water for at least 30 minutes. This helps loosen and pre-treat the stain before applying any cleaning solutions. Make sure that the water is cold, as hot water can set the stain and make it difficult to remove.
Gently dab the area with a soft cloth soaked in diluted white vinegar or a mild detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics. Don't rub the stain from side to side, as this can cause damage to the lace. Dab the area until the stain is gone, then rinse with cold water.
Once the stain has been removed, you can wash the lace either by hand or in the washing machine on the gentle cycle with cold water. Be sure to use a detergent specifically designed for delicates in order to protect fabric and keep it looking its best. Once fabric has been washed, hang or lay it flat to air dry.
