The first step is to rinse the stained area with cold water. Gently agitate the fabric to dislodge the berry stain. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing too hard as this could cause the stain to spread.
Once area has been rinsed, pat dry with a clean cloth or towel. If stain is still visible, create an effective paste by combining 1 teaspoon of dish washing detergent, 1 tablespoon of baking soda, and 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide.
Spread the paste over the stained area and leave it to sit for 15 minutes before wiping away with a damp cloth. Once the area is clean, rinse with cold water.
If berry stain has been left for some time and has set in, try a spot removal treatment. Mix a tablespoon of dishwashing detergent with a tablespoon of white vinegar and dab the mixture onto the stained area. Leave it to sit for 15 minutes.
Gently scrub the area with an old toothbrush to loosen the stain before rinsing with cold water. If any residue remains, create a paste with two parts baking soda and one part hydrogen peroxide, and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping it away with a cloth.
For stubborn spots, try using a lint roller to remove the berry stain. Start by lightly rolling the roller over the affected area and gradually increase the pressure until all traces of the stain have gone.
Once you've successfully removed the berry stain, finish off the treatment by laundering dress as per the fabric's care instructions. Check the area for any remaining stains before drying the dress out of direct sunlight.
